selling houses
Having recently considered selling my house and as with a lot of things like this have been attempting to work out what the best way to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or stay in it for a while longer. I began by looking at different rooms in the house and considering what I might do to improve them and remove any issues I might feel about them.
Central to my house is the kitchen so I began by considering the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which works quite well with a reasonable work triangle (fortunately I talked to a near by kitchen company about kitchen planning ahead of purchasing). The floor had problems with just lino layed which had got a little chewed up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a near by company to get the floor tiles that would blend in with the kitchen units ensuring that the room didn’t appear to dark (just some of the little things you need to think about when you want to sell your house, first impressions are everything within the small window people have to view your house).
The next room I wanted to make sure was working was the bathroom, my bathroom layout was a little cramped because of some fitted cupboards which when taken out gave me a lot more space (which if you are going on first impressions could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the local tiler for some good tiling advice and used big light tiles which appeared to open the space in the room, just one of the many things to be considering when buying bathroom tiles.
The other rooms I painted with a neutral light colour which drew the rooms out and provided the whole house with a fresh look. I then took out as much clutter as I could and stored everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. Finished result, a house that I wanted to remain in, but after just a few viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some serious interest, so fingers crossed ill be able to sell my house soon.
